BIOGRAPHY
Soprano Emily Costigan is a recent Masters graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), studying with international Soprano, Linda Richardson. She completed her BA Undergraduate degree at University of Leeds in 2017 and formally studied with the English Tenor Austin Gunn. Recently she has been performing Oratorio across the North of England and continuing her study with Linda Richardson.
Concert repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah (Halifax Choral Society) Rutter Requiem (Chesterfield Philharmonic Chorus), Stopford Missa Deus Nobiscum (Sale Choral Society), Bach’s St John Passion (Pontefract Choral Society, cancelled last minute due to Covid), Haydn's Creation (St Edward’s School, the Instruments of Time & Truth) and Mozart's Requiem (University of Leeds) and a recital of Haydn, Mozart and Shield for the William Shield Festival.
Operatic highlights: Miss Havisham Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night (RNCM), Fleta Iolanthe (Opera Anywhere), Donna Anna Don Giovanni (Leeds Youth Opera and Leeds OperaSoc), Isabel and Kate Pirates of Penzance (Opera Anywhere), Tourier Suor Angelica (Opera Anywhere),and Alfonso The Pirate (Northern Opera Group). Emily has also appeared in the chorus of Hansel and Gretel, Lucia di Lammermoor, Nabucco, La Bohème, Pirates of Penzance, Die Zauberflöte, HMS Pinafore and Carmen.
As a recording project Emily sang as the principal soprano for ‘Depths of Erendorn’ game soundtrack by the composer Thom Robins and the game development studio; Project Gamechanger.
